Every project listed here was technically complex, mission-critical, or a first of its kind in Romania. Some were both. We don't list engagements to fill a portfolio — we list them because they represent what Axiom actually builds.
Years of active deployment on a single government engagement
Equipments on a single cloud deployment
Sovereign university clouds built in Romania
We don't show concepts or renders. Every engagement listed here was designed, built, and operated by the same Axiom team.
Sovereign HPC environment built to support cutting-edge European dark matter research.
Axiom was engaged to design and deploy a high-performance computing environment supporting dark matter research operations. The project demanded scientific-grade computational reliability, strict data sovereignty, and on-premise control — requirements that ruled out any dependency on public cloud infrastructure.
Axiom delivered a fully operational HPC environment tailored to the mission's workload and security requirements — representing one of the most scientifically significant and internationally relevant infrastructure engagements completed by a Romanian integrator.
Two data centers. 700+ equipments. The most ambitious sovereign cloud in the country's history.
Axiom is currently delivering Romania's largest cloud infrastructure project — spanning two data centers and involving more than 700 individual equipments: servers, storage systems, networking infrastructure, backup systems, and security appliances. This is the most complex and large-scale sovereign cloud deployment ever undertaken in Romania.
The project represents the logical apex of Axiom's journey: from the first five-server deployment in 2016 to building national-scale infrastructure that will serve as Romania's most critical sovereign cloud environment for years to come.
Full physical build to operational cloud — delivered in a single engagement.
A private enterprise client commissioned Axiom to design and build a full-scale datacenter from the ground up — including physical construction, all mechanical and electrical infrastructure, and the complete cloud environment running on top. The result: a purpose-built facility with datacenter-scale rack deployment and an integrated compute and storage footprint, fully operational and under continuous management.
This project represents the breadth of Axiom's capability: physical construction, hardware at scale, cloud deployment, and long-term managed operations — all delivered by one team under one agreement. The engagement also included a full security layer — perimeter hardening, continuous monitoring, and intrusion detection — delivered as part of the ongoing managed service. The client's infrastructure doesn't just run. It doesn't leak, and it doesn't stop.
A six-year journey from proof-of-concept to the most sophisticated cloud environment in the country.
What began as a small proof-of-concept for one of Romania's most important national government agencies has, over six years of continuous development, become the most complex and capable cloud environment in the country. Axiom has been the sole architect and operator of this environment throughout its entire lifecycle.
The engagement demonstrates Axiom's capacity not just to deploy infrastructure, but to be a long-term strategic partner — growing the system as the agency's requirements evolved, adding new services, scaling capacity, and maintaining operational continuity without interruption.
On-premise, OpenStack-based clouds built for the first time in Romanian academia.
Axiom designed and deployed the first sovereign on-premise clouds for two major Romanian universities — a milestone for Romanian academic infrastructure. These environments gave institutions full control over research data, computational resources, and digital services without dependency on public cloud providers.
Both deployments were delivered with comprehensive training programs for the institutions' technical teams, full documentation, and ongoing managed service arrangements. Subsequent AI readiness capabilities were added as the environments matured.
HPC deployment under defense-grade security and environmental constraints.
Axiom was engaged to design and deploy a high-performance computing environment for a Romanian military client. The project required operating within classified constraints, with hardware selection, network architecture, and physical access protocols all designed to meet the elevated security requirements of a defense environment.
This engagement proved Axiom's capacity to deliver within the most demanding regulatory and security frameworks — a proof point that led directly to a high-performance computing project for dark matter research and other high-sensitivity institutional engagements.
Several of our most significant engagements cannot be referenced by name. Defense clients, classified infrastructure programs, and sensitive public sector deployments are not listed here. The projects you see represent what we're permitted to share — not the ceiling of what we've delivered.
We work best with clients who have a real challenge — not a checkbox to fill. Tell us what you're building, and we'll tell you if we're the right team for it.
